My design thoughts: The stock photo I used seemed a bit busy with the background so I used the quick selection tool to grab the dog and put him onto a soft blue/teal background. I chose blue for the background because it contrasts with the orange color of the dog and really makes him pop out.

Next I found a chalkboard looking font to use, as it went with my theme of education. The typewriter font was used as it contrasts the unclean messy look that the chalkboard font has. Finally I applied a gradient to the background color so that it moves your eyes to the left of the page, where the font is aligned.

I also grabbed the logo of USU Gear Up to give the picture a little context.
