Design thoughts:

I left the background white because I wanted to text and image to stand out the most without any other distractions. I went with two different fonts to emphasize the theme of the conference. The color of the fonts was chosen to match the colors of the image. Everything is aligned to the right to move your eyes across the image.

Photoshop Tools used:

First I used the eraser tool to edit the UCET logo. I added the "you" to create a theme for the page.

I used the same font and color for the following times the word you was mentioned on the poster.

Finally, I spaced the wording on the poster so that there were three main groups of text. That way I made sure that the event, message and date was easy to find on the poster.
