This week's assignment was to make a flyer.

My design thoughts: I wanted one of the main focal points to be the logo so I framed the page with the logo and brick background. I chose the brick background to give the flyer an antique look since Dee Avenue is based on the farmhouse/rustic style renovations.

Photoshop tools: I found a stock photo of a hammer on pixabay.com, which I used in the Dee Avenue logo. I used the pen tool to select the hammer and jump in onto a white background. Then I used the elliptical tool to make three circles which I overlapped, to create the black circle outline

I found the brick background on pixabay.com as well. In the layer tool bar I used the layers style > blending options to change the opacity of the brick background to dilute the colors so that the background, logo and text stood out more.

Finally I created a white rectangle and placed text on the rectangle to complete the flyer.
