My design thoughts/purpose: This was designed to be an info-graphic for Facebook. I wrote all the information with the help of some co-workers and the design was meant to add to the content. I used the color scheme and fonts because they are Stokes fonts/colors.

Design elements used:

CONTRAST— Contrast was used with the text box, the fonts, different levels of opacity

REPETITION — the fonts were repeated to create a pattern of titles and subtitles

ALIGNMENT — Alignment was extremely important in this design. I used alignment to show how the information related to each other and to create a hierarchy of information.

PROXIMITY — Proximity shows how the information relates to the other little paragraphs.

Photoshop tools used: For this design, I used opacity to create contrast for footprints, and the picture in the background of the Nature Center. I wanted the picture to be apart of the design but I didn't want it to be the central focal point. I added the footprint on the side of the text to create movement. I also changed the blend mode to linear burn.
